The Corps wins BSIA Award
The Corps is pleased to announce that the team at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre have won the ‘Best Security Team’ for the region of Scotland 2006.
The team have been at the EICC since 2001 and play a pivotal role in the smooth running of the Conference Centre. They are delighted to receive recognition from the BSIA (British Security Industry Association) for all their hard work.
The award ceremony took place on Friday 17th March 2006 and was hosted at the EICC. The event was attended by BSIA Chief Executive David Dickinson, The Corps Managing Director - Francis Peck and EICC CEO - Hans Rissmann.
Regional Manager for The Corps John Sives said: “I am absolutely delighted for our security team, we enjoy a close relationship with our client at the EICC and it is great that the team’s achievements have been recognised by the BSIA”.
The EICC is one of the premier Conference Centres in the world and has established itself as a major venue for international events. In this capacity it has also played host to Noted Dignitaries, International Diplomats and members of the Royal Family. As a result of their successes the EICC boasts a long list of awards to which they can now add the Best Security Team, Scotland.
The high profile identity of the EICC means that The Corps team frequently work in conjunction with the Police and take on additional duties that include conducting personal and bag searches, operating x-ray machines and using metal detectors. The team are also responsible for maintaining the integrity of secure ‘sterile’ areas of the building as well as assisting with secure car parking.
