Case study 1

The BSIA National Best Team Award 2012 was given for our work in providing civilian guarding services to six Royal Marines establishments located in the south-west of England.

Major Andrew Plewes of the Royal Marines, said, ‘Corps Security has proven to be an extremely capable and effective security provider, and has consistently delivered a high level of service. As the military security advisor for the contract I have been impressed with the proactive support at all our sites by a team that requires a minimal level of oversight and intervention. The Security Excellence Awards Inspiration in HR Award acknowledges the outstanding work of human resources (HR) teams. It recognises those who make a significant impact in terms of management and corporate performance within the businesses they serve.

Brian Sims, editor of Info4Security and chairman of the judging panel, said, ‘HR professionals play a key role in the selection, training and monitoring of individuals and Corps Security was deemed to have excelled in all aspects of the judging criteria.’
