Senior managers and leaders from across Corps Security will be visiting real Living Wage sites across the country this week to talk to officers about what people paid the real Living Wage means for them. It’s all part of Living Wage Week which starts today. Keep an eye on our social feeds on LinkedIn and Twitter to find out what our front-line teams think about the real Living Wage.
Our CEO Mike Bullock, who is a member of the Living Wage Foundation’s Recognised Service Provider Leadership Group, will also be attending the foundation’s launch event this afternoon where the new real Living Wage rates will be announced.
Corps became a member of the Living Wage Foundation’s Service Provider Recognition Scheme in early 2020. When we joined the scheme, 33% of our people were paid the real Living Wage. This year it’s 60% and Corps has set a target of 75% in the next 12 months.
As a social enterprise – the only major security company in the UK to have this status – paying our people a fair wage is a key part of our ethos and we are proud to celebrate Living Wage Week across our sites.
