The Corps of Commissionaires Association (Australia)
The Australian division of The Corps of Commissionaires was formed in Sydney in 1884 and established in New South Wales in 1939. It has been based in Victoria since 1946. The Corps is currently an ex-service, welfare and philanthropic organization with members in all Australian states.
The Canadian Corps, modelled after the British Corps of Commissionaires, was formed in 1925 with the national organization being realized in 1950. It was originally established to provide employment to ex-servicemen and is a private not-for-profit security company employing over 21,000 people in 15 divisions across three Canadian territories.
