We recognise that our responsibilities extend way beyond our base-line commercial business interests and, consequently, we continually strive to identify new ways of improving our performance. All aspects of our business activities are measured internally, with real focus applied to the effect that our operations have on the local environment in particular, and the wider environment generally.
Our commitment to sustainability is outlined within our Environmental Policy, where we confirm the working practices adopted to minimise any negative impact that our operations may have on the environment in which we live.
While we are positive that we take every conceivable precaution to ensure that we operate in an environmentally mature and responsible manner, having this verified to the most stringent standards is important to us.
This is why we are certified to ISO 14001, the international standard for environmental management systems (EMS). Certification means that we systematically reduce any harmful effects we have on the environment by developing processes to lower energy usage, reduce waste and pollution, and mitigate the risk of emergency situations.
In addition, we are also certified to ISO 9001, the international standard for quality management systems (QMS) which demonstrates the existence of an effective quality management system within our business. In 1993 we became one of the first companies operating within the UK security industry to gain such certification.
Our ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certifications are accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), the only accreditation body recognised by UK government. Our certification provides our customers with the confidence that we are regularly and rigorously assessed to demonstrate our competence and ability to deliver consistent standards across all our services.
We are confident that in terms of environmental sustainability, we operate to the very highest standards, meeting and exceeding those achieved by our competitors.
