Breaking news with Paul Lotter December 2022
Thank you!
2022 has been quite the year, hasn’t it? It has not been an easy ride for any of us. So rather than dive straight into news about our customers, I wanted to begin this newsletter with a thank you!
Although this has been a tough year for everyone, Corps Security has been going from strength to strength, and I wanted to reflect on the amazing things we have all achieved.,
This is all down to you, the amazing colleagues that represent Corps Security every day.
- New Contracts and Retained Clients – we have seen some fantastic new customers join the family this year, from Amazon to Warner Bros. Discovery, we couldn’t have done this without the professionalism of the sales and marketing team. But more importantly our colleagues who work hard to keep our customers happy. Thank you!
- New colleagues – we have seen many promotions, some brilliant new colleagues in both the offices and on our contract locations and integrated some experienced and highly professional talent through new contracts.
- New Initiatives – we have seen Moonhub virtual reality training, being rolled out across our locations; I look forward to seeing this more utilised across the business in 2023. AI and Analytics within Corps Monitoring, which will elevate the operations and offer avenues to win new customers and integrate the services into Corps Security too.
- Corps Consult and their ownership of Protect Duty – Mike Bluestone and Neil Shanks are taking Corps Consult – our consultancy division that provides professional and detailed security analysis, reviews, and education – to a whole new level. A big congratulations to them also on the success of the Figen Murray presentation, and their work to educate us all on the future Protect Duty law that we hope comes into force in 2023.

As we approach another year, I want to wish you all an amazing festive season, and I hope, however you celebrate, that family, friends and loved ones surround you.
Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you all in 2023.
Best wishes,
Paul
Corps Security welcomes Warner Bros. Discovery into the family
I am delighted to be able to tell you about one of our exciting new contracts for Corps Security. We welcome Warner Bros. Discovery and its team into the Corps family.
Warner Bros. Discovery is a premier global media and entertainment company; many of you will have seen some of their amazing brands, content, television, and franchises. The new division combines both Warner Bros.’ and Discovery’s leading non-fiction, international entertainment, and sports content.
Following a rigorous tender process, it was our Social Enterprise Status, and commitment to the Living Wage Foundation’s, real Living Wage that helped to secure this superb contract. Circa 120 staff transferred to Corps and are already in place delivering the exceptional service and commitment to excellence that we are renowned for
What is also exciting are the locations we will be working at. Our colleagues will protect Leavesden Studios, Harry Potter Tour, Harry Potter Photographic exhibition in Covent Garden and De Lane Lea Studios in Soho, London.
The contract is for 3 years, and our new colleagues began their new roles on 1st November.
I would personally like to welcome them all to Corps, and I am sure you will all join me in welcoming them too.
Addleshaw Goddard commit to the 1% challenge
I am also delighted to announce that our long-term customer, Addleshaw Goddard – a world-leading law firm with over 3,000 clients worldwide have agreed to commit to our 1% Contract Value Donation Challenge, a donation that will provide essential mental health support to veterans all over the UK through our charity partner, Combat Stress.
What is the 1% challenge?
In brief, as a Social Enterprise we commit to donating a percentage of our profits to charity every year, with the rest of our profits being invested back in the business to support you, our colleagues. Corps Security does not have shareholders, and we do not pay dividends to our executive team. Every effort we make to grow the company, therefore, benefits the veteran community and our colleagues.
The 1% challenge is a chance for our customers to improve their charitable giving, and their commitment to the wider community. During the negotiation of every contract over the next 12 months, one of the packages we offer the client will have an additional 1% added to the lifetime of the value of the contract, with this money going directly to Combat Stress. It doesn’t impact how much they pay us for you to do your role – or change or reduce what we offer in the way of service. It is additional money offered as a direct donation to charity.
What difference will 1% make?
Combat Stress spend every donated penny wisely, and it pays for mental health support services which will help veterans to reintegrate into society following service in conflict. In turn, this helps them to get back into work again, following their time serving the country.
The below graphic shows some of the Addleshaw Goddard team and what the donation will pay for, through the charity:
Every one of our colleagues working with this customer can feel a sense of pride, as every hour you work, you are contributing to the improvement of the lives of veterans – the people who tirelessly protect our country and way of life – and offer them, their family and loved ones, a more positive and brighter future. We feel that it’s the least we can do.
