Breaking news with Paul Lotter January 2023
Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the first Breaking News of 2023. I hope you had a lovely festive season and wish you a Happy New Year.
What a year 2022 turned out to be for Corps; we saw the introduction of significant new accounts, including Amazon & Warner Bros. Discovery, alongside many of our customers retaining Corps Security beyond their current contract arrangements.
We go into 2023 with positive optimism and excitement for another successful year. I am pleased to share our first new win of 2023 and an exciting client who has decided to continue working with Corps.
JCB digs into Corps’ history to award its security contract
I am delighted to announce this January that we have just begun mobilisation of the security contract with a leading British manufacturer, JCB. For those who haven’t heard of JCB, they make products for the construction and farming industries.
The new contract was celebrated at the Global Head Office of JCB on New Year’s Day, where the contract team were joined by our CEO Mike Bullock. Corps will manage 12 locations across the portfolio, with the following scope…
“To protect JCB personnel, contractors, visitors from assault or injury, or the risk of damage to JCB assets from unauthorised entry; thereby deterring / detecting / denying / delaying criminality both internally and externally through the appropriate mitigation and response.”
The contract has been awarded for an initial 3 years. As with every new customer, we asked why Corps was successful in the bid process and were pleased to say that our commitment to our people and our transparent and defined values – which aligned with JCBs – attracted the company to Corps. In addition, JCB referenced our company history. As you know, Corps’ Social Mission started over 160 years ago and remains in its contemporary form today – something to which we will always be committed. JCB has a similar commitment to its history, so the two companies are aligned with our commitment to Great Britain and sustainable, people and planet focussed philosophy.
Providing secure workspaces for Workspace
Corps relationship with Workspace began back in 2016. Workspace provides shared workspaces for Britain’s brightest businesses across London. Shared workspaces allow small businesses to get modern and functional office space at a much lower cost than leased buildings.
Corps’ contract with Workspace offers secure employment for 40 of your colleagues across 10 managed sites across the capital. So, I am delighted to announce that Workspace has agreed to retain Corps for an additional 3 years from 1st April 2023.
Why are customer retentions significant for Corps?
I wanted to explain why customers retaining Corps is so vital. If, after a 3 year contract, a customer decides to continue working with Corps, it is a credit to you – the teams on the ground – and the company’s values and standards. If a customer is unhappy, they do not always let us know. At times, companies do not find out there is an issue until the contract is up for renewal.
We can therefore take great pride every time a customer stays with Corps. We can be confident that we are doing everything required of us, but more often than not, you deliver much more than expected. Therefore, we owe you thanks, and please know that your job security – and that of your colleagues, is greatly improved when we focus on ensuring our customer’s happiness.
Best wishes,
Paul
